Dr. Wendy Callahan

Dr. Callahan graduated from the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. Early in her career she served as an Associate Veterinarian at Rutherford Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Callahan is a native of Morganton and in 2006, she and her family moved back to the area.. She was blessed to work with Dr. Sam Pearson and Dr. Don Hemstreet first as a partner, then in 2010 became the sole owner of Morganton Animal Clinic. She is the adoring mother of two and enjoys long weekends at Lake James with her husband Fred. She also shares her home with four incredibly spoiled dogs, and three cats.

Dr. Hemstreet is a graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Hemstreet founded and built Morganton Animal Clinic in 1972. He has been an ambassador for Burke County for many years. Dr. Hemstreet enjoys canoeing, swimming, cycling and most of all spending time with his wife Joy, their 4 children and 7 grandchildren.
Dr. John Palermo

Dr. Palermo is a graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He was an Associate Veterinarian at a clinic in Orlando, Florida 6 years before he and his family moved to North Carolina. Dr. Palermo lends his experience and enthusiasm to Morganton Animal Clinic.
