About Us

Morganton Animal Clinic has been an important part of the Burke County community for over 53 years.  The clinic was founded by Dr. Don Hemstreet in 1972 and a few years later Dr. Sam Pearson partnered with him.  For many years they grew and nurtured the clinic into a place where the patients and clients felt like family.  Dr. Hemstreet and Dr. Pearson were fortunate to hire Dr. Wendy Callahan in 2006 and she has ushered in a new era at the clinic.  Dr. Callahan purchased the clinic from Dr. Hemstreet and Dr. Pearson in 2010 and is dedicated to continuing the clinics legacy of compassionate veterinary care for many years to come.
